CYBER ESSENTIALS PLUS CERTIFICATION

As with Cyber Essentials, certification provides peace of mind that your defences will protect against the vast majority of common cyber-attacks simply because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place.

Cyber Essentials Plus maintains the Cyber Essentials trademark simplicity of approach, and the protections you need to put in place are the same, but for Cyber Essentials Plus a hands-on technical verification is carried out.

OVERVIEW

This higher level of assurance involves completing the online assessment followed by a technical audit of the systems that are in-scope for Cyber Essentials. This includes a representative set of user devices, all internet gateways and all servers with services accessible to unauthenticated internet users. Your Moore ClearComm assessor will test a suitable random sample of these systems and then make a decision whether further testing
is required.

You will need to complete your Cyber Essentials Plus audit within 3 months of your last Cyber Essentials basic certification.

To gain Cyber Essentials Plus Certication you must have achieved Cyber Essentials basic first or if you have the basic certication it is within last 3 months.

1. Organisation must follow our guidance and have completed all relevant work
2. Free Cyber Insurance provided and underwritten by AXA XL, a division of AXA Insurance PLC (FCA Authorisation Number 202312). Insurance issued as part of the Cyber Essentials certication through IASME. Cyber insurance is not provided by Moore ClearComm and provision of any policy is at the sole discretion of AXA XL, to which applicants are referred by ClearComm for consideration. Moore ClearComm is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and this service is provided under general exemptions in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities Order) 2001. Qualifying applicants will be UK companies with a turnover of less than £20m with a valid Cyber Essentials certication.
