Cyber Advisor

Cyber Advisor Scheme

Launched in April 2023, the Cyber Advisor scheme assures organisations to provide general cyber security advice and support to a broad range of UK organisations.

Moore ClearComm is 1 of only 20 organisations currently, nationally awarded the status of “Cyber Advisor, Assured Service Provider”, a scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre in partnership with The IASME Consortium.

The Cyber Advisor scheme provides small and medium-sized organisations with reliable and cost-effective cybersecurity advice and practical support.

The focus of the advice and support will be on the implementation of the 5 technical control areas set out by in Cyber Essentials scheme. This approach aims to improve the cyber security posture of small organisations whilst reducing the likelihood of the most common types of cyber-attacks.

How does the Cyber Advisor scheme work?

“Cyber Advisor” is a targeted consultancy scheme aimed primarily at small organisations. Such organisations often lack in-house expertise or easy access to qualified people who can help them secure their IT environment.

And, because they often have limited time and funds to invest in security, it can be hard for a small organisation, whether it’s a business, school, or charity, to know where to focus the resources they have.

This is where your Moore ClearComm Cyber Advisor can help.

We will provide cost-effective advice and, where required, hands-on help to implement the five Cyber Essentials Technical Controls

The Cyber Advisor scheme gives you the confidence that your chosen service provider is offering cyber security advice at an NCSC approved standard. Moore ClearComm Cyber Advisors have passed an independent assessment, measuring their:

  • knowledge and understanding of the Cyber Essentials’ technical controls.
  • competence in providing practical, hands-on support and including best implementation practices.
  • ability to understand and work with small and medium-sized organisations.

All Cyber Advisors are required to work within an organisation which has met the NCSC`s standards and has been accepted as an Assured Service Provider. Moore ClearComm meets all specialist requirements whilst also being a certification body with the ability to assess and grant Cyber Essentials certifications.

Who is it for?

The Cyber Advisor scheme is designed with small and medium-sized organisations in mind, aiming to improve their basic cyber security and avoid the disruption caused by some of the most common cyber-attacks.

Cyber Essentials

As Moore ClearComm is also an approved Certifying Body for the Cyber Essentials scheme, our support is seamless, focused, and efficient – guiding your organisation from analysis and implementation of the controls through to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

Our objective is to help you to reduce your cyber risk, as well as helping to evidence your commitment to cyber security best practices and maintain stakeholder assurance.
